Fall mini session Union Market

Fall mini sessions are here ! Don't let your chance to have photos done this year.

Tired of awkward, posed and stiff family portraits with cheesy smiles? Join me on Saturday, October 7 for a short and fun photoshoot where you will have pictures that don't look like your neighbors'. We'll go to Union Market in Washington, DC for a modern industrial feel where we will create emotive pictures that will be MORE than what you just look like.

Minis are perfect for busy families who have only 20 minutes at this time of year for pictures but who don't want to get a stiff traditional shot. They rather want photos that are fun and represent the personality of the family members (and make gorgeous Holiday cards + gifts). It is also a chance for you moms to actually EXIST in pictures and stop being the ghost of the family (and I know what I'm talking about here!). You deserve this. Your kids want beautiful pictures with their beautiful mama. Make it happen. I will capture your family as it is right now and we'll make cool and beautiful portraits of everybody in front of my lens (even the 4-legged member).

How does it work ?
The mini sessions will take place in Washington, DC around Union Market. The goal is to keep those sessions short and sweet! I am used to work with families so I shoot fast to catch the kids being cute and energetic! I like the sessions to be relaxed and fun, no one should feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable. I just need you to play and show me some love.  I will deliver between 15 to 20 awesome images in an online gallery.

How many sessions per hour ?
I book the sessions back-to-back. You need to arrive 15 minutes prior to the shoot to find a parking space and walk to the agreed location. It will help the kids warm up, get familiar with the environment and be ready to have their picture taken. If you know your child might be shy and/ or need extra time, then arrive earlier! We can always switch clients too (book with a friend!).

How much is a mini session and what's included ?
A mini-session cost $300 and this covers up to 2 adults + 2 kids. It includes our time together along with activities, a gallery of 15 to 20 edited pictures, and 3 digital files in high definition for you to keep forever. Or get ALL the HD files for $550. I will create a private online gallery with your images. You will be able to share the gallery with friends and families and to download and order directly from it.

If you want to order extra products and make gifts for grandparents and relatives you will be able to do so directly from the gallery. I offer books, bamboo prints, and digital files (click here).

How many persons per session ?
I allow up to 2 parents and 2 kids per sessions. Any extra person or pet is $20 but no more than 5 person per shoot. You need to book 2 slots if above 6 to allow some more time.  Newborns are welcome! You will get a gallery of 15-20 images regardless of the number of person at the photo-shoot.

What should we wear ?
I love modern looks with neutral colors and a dash of primary colors. Stay away from big logos that will draw the attention away. Think of layering clothes (cardigan, sleeveless jacket...), or using different textures (wool, cotton, corduroy...). For the kids, choose an outfit that fits right now, not in 2 months: loose clothes don't show well in pictures. For baby girls who want to wear dresses, put on a bloomer so the diaper won't show. We will be shooting in the street so proper attire is recommended.

What should we bring ?
If your kid has a stuffed animal or something he/ she likes to cling on to, you are more welcome to bring it. Keep the size small though. Bring your outfits (crinkle free!) and some accessories like suspenders or a scarf.

Families with kids: bring wipes, hand sanitizer, have a change of diaper not too far. Luckily, the sessions are short, I won't keep you forever so you'll be free to deal with the little emergency quickly.

And what if my child is not in the mood that day ?
Try to book a slot according to nap time or feedings. I am used to work with children and I have a great amount of patience. I am a mom of 2 kids myself (a 6,5 year old fierce girl and a 3 year old energetic little boy) so I totally understand the full gamut of emotions ranging from hysteria to blissfulness. I know what it's like and I will do my very best to cheer them up and put the pressure off of them to capture them at their best. If you think your child might need extra time to warm up then arrive early. I can start with the other sibling too.

Can I buy high resolution images ?
Absolutely. You can buy the high resolution files directly from your gallery and they are available immediately for download. You can use the high resolution files to make your own prints, book, or other products. They cost $60 for one file, $250 for all of them.
TIP: If you are looking for a modern way to use your high definition files, you can order an engineer print and hang it in your kid's bedroom, a corridor, or living room. I will happily convert them in B&W for free if needed, just ask. (An even cheapest option is to print them at Staples for $1,80 to $8 depending on the size).
(You're welcome!).

By purchasing a slot you agree to be bound by Juliette Fradin Photography's Terms and conditions.
