This was 2025

This year marks my 12th year in business as a family photographer in the DMV area.

Twelve years of doing what I love most: telling your stories, spending time with you, and quietly observing the way your families move through the world.

Over the years, I’ve photographed hundreds of moments that might have otherwise slipped by unnoticed. Ordinary days. Familiar routines. The kind of moments that don’t ask for a camera but deserve to be remembered. At the same time, I’ve been photographing my own kids, though less and less as the years go by. That part makes me a little sad, and it’s also a reminder of why this work matters so much to me.

I wish that the joy, the tenderness, the love in these photos live on. That when time moves quickly, as it always does, you can come back to these images and remember how it felt (and even the hard moments).
The weight of a small hand in yours.
The energy of a child in motion.
The comfort of being together, just as you were in that season.

This year, I photographed families as they are. Active, tired, connected, emotional, playful, overwhelmed, and deeply loving. I focused on moments that go beyond pretty smiles or carefully chosen outfits. Moments rooted in simplicity. Moments that feel true. Unconventional family portraits that include everyone who belongs, including pets, chaos, crumbs, and big feelings.

Documentary family photography isn’t about perfection. It’s about honesty and care. It’s about paying attention. It’s about trusting that your everyday life, exactly as it is, is worth remembering.

This slideshow is a small collection of those moments from the past months. It’s not meant to tell every story, but to reflect a shared one. A year of real life, lived fully.

Thank you for trusting me with yours.
I’m deeply grateful for the work we create together, and I’m looking forward to telling more stories as we move toward 2026.
