I'm so excited to officially introduce you to Svitlana, associate photographer here at Juliette Fradin Photography! She’s been working with me for a few months now but I thought she could have her own blog post so you can properly meet her.
Originally from Ukraine, she moved to the U.S. in 2008 as an au pair and eventually made Boston her home, where she photographed weddings for many years. After becoming a mom and relocating to Alexandria with her husband, Svitlana added another incredible skill to her resume—preschool teacher! She’s gentle, patient, and knows exactly how to connect with little ones, which makes her a natural at family photography.
I didn’t need to train her for too long as I’ve seen firsthand how beautifully she captures honest, storytelling images—the kind you’ve come to expect from JFP. She officially has the JFP stamp of approval and is excited to document families in their everyday magic all around the DMV area.

I’ll guide you through the entire booking process and be your point of contact from start to finish.
24 hours before your session, Svitlana will take over and handle all communications and reschedules if need be.
She’ll photograph your family with the same documentary style and gentle guidance you’ve come to love from JFP.
I’ll personally handle all the editing and delivery of your images to ensure they reflect the same care, consistency, and style I’m known for.
It’s a seamless, thoughtful process that gives you the best of both worlds: my guidance and editing, plus Svitlana’s warmth, experience, and talent behind the lens.
