Who needs sushi, alcohol, or skinny jeans anyway!...

A newborn session with me is laid-back and relaxed. I like to capture you simply hanging out with your baby, while you feed them, change diapers, and just marvel at how perfect they are...

It is simple, natural, real.

I use 100% natural light and zero props or posing aids. Your arms and love are all we need. I give a few directions but I will capture your new family being uniquely you.

My focus is on the new connection and your growing family.

BOOK a session

STEP ONE PICK A DATE AND BOOK YOUR SESSION

The first step to working together is to decide on a date for your newborn photoshoot.

With a documentary approach for photographing newborns, you don’t have to book within the first 2-3 weeks after bébé is born. I won’t pose your little munchkin in a basket so I don’t need them to be sleepy 😉

I can come quickly after baby is born/ you’re back home (unless you had a homebirth!!) and I will capture all the cute newborn details and life with a baby. I love (breast)feeding moments!

Or you might want more time to get used to being a new family with an extra little addition and be settled in. Either way is fine with me. I am flexible and if we need to adjust time a bit, we’ll discuss it a few days before your session.

You need to pick a date + time and pay your retainer fee of $400 to secure your spot on my calendar. You will also be prompted to sign your contract + model release.

If you don’t have an age-schooled kid, I can come during the week. Those weekdays in my calendar are meant for newborn families who might be more flexible.

The $400 session fee is required at the time of booking and signing of contract.

Session fees are separate from collections and do not apply towards any collections.

Session fees cover Juliette Fradin Photography’s time and talent, prep guide, signature post-processing, and delivery of a gallery with 50 images. Products not included.

STEP TWO GETTING READY

Now that we have a date, a signed contract, and a $400 retainer, you are officially on the books!

Getting ready

After you receive the confirmation email, you will fill out a questionnaire to figure out the best spots in your home, what to wear, and what you want to remember from this special moment in your life.

A few days before your session, I’ll reach out to confirm our time… You’ll let me know if you’ve come up with a fun idea we haven’t discussed. Each family is truly unique and your photos will 100% reflect that.

STEP THREE PICTURE DAY!

On the day of your session, the only thing you need to do is to get everybody dressed and fed (snacking is totally allowed during your session too so no worries about that). Keep it simple, as you’d normally do.

You just need to declutter a bit where we’ll shoot (no need to Marie Kondo your entire house) and get ready to snuggle and kiss.

I will travel to YOU so no stress about traffic, packing everyone in the car, or impromptu naps during the drive! And if you’re not totally ready when I arrive, no stress either. I love “getting ready” images.

Block off 2 hours. Typically, we’re done in 90 minutes.

Finally, take a deep breath and relax… I promise to give you breaks throughout the session as needed and to make it as painless as possible for everyone involved.

STEP FOUR “your photos are ready”

Within 3 weeks of your session, you will receive an email from me letting you know that your photos are ready. I send you a slideshow set to music. Once you have a chance to see it and marvel for a bit, you’ll decide which collection you want to purchase. After that, you’ll have a full month to fill that collection… zero pressure!

Ask me to bring my sample products on picture day! I will show you my albums and paper types quickly at the end of our session so you can see and feel things. It gives you a good idea of what they look like and what style is best for your home.

STEP FIVE choose your collection

All collections include a mix of digitals and products to choose in the store.

To reserve your date there is a $400 retainer fee that is separate from collections.

Maternity session - $1,200

If you’d like a Petite Maternity session, it must be booked in conjunction with the newborn session. It’s a 40-min session where I come to your home. The main focus is on mom but we can photograph your spouse and/ or kid(s) too. Most clients schedule their photo session between 28 and 36 weeks.

You receive 20 high-resolution files with a $100 print credit you can use right away or wait until you had your newborn session.

STEP SIX BRING YOUR PIXELS TO LIFE

What you are going to do with your photos is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you’re planning for a photo session, but it’s all too often the aspect that is overlooked… all that time and money you invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere.

You will never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a substantial print credit with every collection. Below is a sample of some of the items you can choose among:

These matte prints are the best!

The photo paper feels luxurious with a stunningly soft and deep-matte effect. The print offers bright whites and a wide color range. Simply elegant and modern.

This photo album is printed on high-end matte photo paper with thick, layflat pages. It is happily designed by me using modern layouts and can be further customized with your choice of covers (linen, velvet (!) or leather), custom foil letters and text.

Set of 3 images printed on a luxurious photo paper with a soft and deep-matte effect with white borders. They are then mounted on a wooden board, perfect to display as-is on the wall (use skeleton clips, Command Strips), or framed, or on a wooden ledge. It looks great as a series on a wall.
