What are these personality portraits about?

These portraits are a beautiful and quick way to capture your kids in the current moment with their favorite things, missing teeth, crooked smiles, chipped nail polish and all. They are about freezing time with all the feelings and imperfections of childhood. Each session focuses on capturing the natural beauty of each child, from shy to rambunctious.

There are no forced smiles and I work hard to freeze their true personality.

WHAT? 10-minute personality portraits shot in a studio
FOR WHOM? little people (around 8 months old —they should know how to sit by themselves) to teens. These are INDIVIDUAL portraits. No siblings (sorry….)
WHEN? Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 starting at 9:00am (one child per slot)
WHERE? Studio in Dupont Circle, 2000 P St. NW, Washington DC, 20036. Street parking available but rare. Plan accordingly!
PRICE? $150 per child with 50% paid at booking to reserve your slot (non-refundable - see FAQ below)
WHAT’S INCLUDED? The session + 2 digital images with immediate download. You’ll receive a gallery with 5-8 images.

— STEP ONE - BOOK YOUR PORTRAIT - $150

Once booking opens (February 10th), you’ll be able to click on the button to reserve your preferred slot. I will send you a questionnaire and answer any question you might have (read the FAQ below!). Once you’ve paid, contract is signed and everything looks good, you’ll get a confirmation with your exact date and time.

— STEP TWO - show up for your session on MARCH 2nd

I am going to send you a prep guide to make the most of our time together. You will find tips about oufits (hint: let them decide!) or what to do if your kid is shy or an extrovert! We only have 10 minutes MAX so they need to come ready to roll. Allow some time for parking (this is the hardest part of the whole experience, I swear!) and let’s have fun in the studio!

— STEP THREE - DOWNLOAD YOUR FILEs

After 14 days, you will receive your gallery with your 5-8 images and a code to download your high-res digital images. You can definitely stop here but *spoiler alert* I will make it really hard on you to pick only 2.

You’ll want to visit the online shop for extra goodies like prints, frames, bamboo prints, or the whole set of digitals. My #1 rule is: ONLY BUY WHAT YOU LOVE! (and this applies to many situations in life.) Everything will then ship directly to you 🚀

Break their best outfit (let them pick) and have their photo taken to get a mini time capsule of that special season they’re in!

FAQ

I recommend booking for kids who are at least 6 months old—they should be able to sit independently so we can capture a variety of poses and expressions. That said, you know your kiddo best, so this isn’t a strict rule!
I also welcome kids through their teen years because no matter how big they get, they’re still our babies—and they deserve cool photos too!
Each session lasts 10 minutes—just enough time to capture a variety of expressions while keeping the experience fun and relaxed.
Yes! After downloading your two included digital images, you’ll have the option to purchase additional high-resolution images—either individually or as the full gallery. Only buy what you love!
These sessions are designed to highlight each child individually, so no, no kids together. These sessions are tailored to make each child shines as their individual self. This is all about individuality. If you would like kids together, I offer mini sessions (get on my mailing list!) and full family sessions.

Tip: You can use a product with multiple images so the kids would be featured together. I can even design this for you!
Yes, you will have access to a limited online store filled with goodies to transform those pixels into frames, prints, boards…

You’ll receive your images within 10-14 days after the session. A private online gallery will be sent to you, where you can download your two included images and purchase extras if you’d like.
Cheesy smiles, stiff poses, and forced expressions? Absolutely not.
My approach is all about authenticity—capturing real personalities, natural expressions, and genuine moments. Sessions are short and sweet (just 10 minutes!), ensuring a relaxed experience and smooth transitions between families.
I totally understand—life happens! Sessions are non-refundable, but if you can’t make it, you’re welcome to transfer your spot to a friend or family member. Just let me know in advance who will be taking your place.
If you’re running late, I’ll do my best to capture as much as possible in the remaining time. However, this means fewer images in your gallery, and no refunds will be given. If I happen to have an open slot later, I may be able to fit you in, but this is not guaranteed.
If you don’t show up, there is no refund whatsoever.
Sessions take place indoors in a studio with beautiful natural light in the morning. The setting is simple and distraction-free, so the focus stays on your child and their unique personality!
Let them decide! These portraits are all about personality, so let your kiddo pick their favorite outfit and turn it into a mini fashion show. Whether it’s a superhero cape, a princess dress, or their comfiest hoodie—whatever makes them feel awesome is perfect.
