Every 1.2 seconds man destroys an area of forest the size of a football field

By choosing me as your photographer, you choose to celebrate your family life... while keeping the planet greener!

Now more than ever, we desperately need to start a more sustainable, mindful and intentional life. Millions of people and businesses around the globe care for the planet and want to make a difference. We have a responsibility to protect and preserve the world we live in.

In 2008, I embarked on a zero-waste journey to reduce my waste and plastic consumption. I believe in the power of jars, reusable grocery bags and second-hand shopping. What do I want to leave behind? Certainly, not a buried toothbrush or a plastic bag in the ocean.

Juliette Fradin Photography will strive to give back to mother nature by reducing its footprint and waste and preserve both our environment and your experience.

carbon removal

I contribute 1% of my revenue to help fund carbon removal.

This is not a perfect solution and we all need to do our part, even imperfectly.

Thanks for being part of the process.

I Find Eco-Friendly Products

I carefully curate the products I put in my shop to offer you the best quality while being as eco-friendly as possible.

Preference goes to Made-in-USA.

I Make The World Less Trashy

Each package is shipped with love and mindfulness. Your order will usually ship directly from the lab to cut the middle man (a.k.a. me). Some products require my attention though and I will package and send all products with plastic-free shipping materials, 100% water activated paper tape, and post-consumer boxes.

You might also find a furoshiki wrap (traditional japanese way of wrapping gifts with fabric). Quality and aesthetics are very important to me.

Everything can be composted, reused or, on the last resort, recycled.

"zero waste of time"

This is the name of my column in my local newspaper (the Hyattsville Life and Times). I write bi-monthly articles about low waste and sustainable living.

I am always happy to talk about trash, compost, and slow living so hit me with your questions.

Big change starts small. I want to empower you to help the earth with your purchases, while having beautiful photographs of your family.

“We don't need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly.

We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.”

—Anne-Marie Bonneau

I am mindful about the companies I work with and products I offer to preserve both our environment and your experience.
