This was 2018 • documentary family photographer in Maryland

It seems 2018 is already behind but I just wanted to take a moment to look back and enjoy all the little things I captured for you. The world is in a tough place but 2018 filled my lens with lots of meaningful family moments (and meaningful was my word for 2018!) so MERCI for trusting me and my vision. You will find some of my favorite images in the video below, most of them were taken at-home and around. You showed me the places you loved and I am grateful I was able to freeze time for you and show you in pictures the great work you are doing as a parent.

There are things coming up for 2019, and the one I am particularly excited about is to partner with One Tree Planted. As I embarked my family on a zero waste lifestyle in 2018, my business needed a greener facelift too. It means that with every products you purchase, a tree will be planted! I will keep you posted throughout the year. LET’S PLANT A FOREST!

2018 was my busiest year so far. Thanks for supporting a small business, a woman, a mom. It really makes a difference in my life, for my family and in my community. So from the bottom of my heart, MERCI. I am looking forward to seeing what 2019 has in store.

Cheers 2018 and Hooray for another year 2019 looking forward to working with former and new clients!

Here are some photos of my personal family life in 2018. I feel like I take less and less everyday pictures except when we are in France or in vacation but this is one of my goal for 2019: more extraordinary pictures of our ordinary :-)

I have a documentary approach for photographing families so they can just slow down and enjoy the simple moment of being together. If you would like to see more of my recent family photography, head over to my Instagram account. I love to document the love (and tears) that go into family life, or managing a small business or a sweet reunion. Subscribe to my newsletter, I would love to have you there. xx

I got published • Juliette Fradin in Click magazine for a newborn story

2018 is already full of very good surprises. I got published in one of the leading magazine in photography today: Click. It is something else to see your pictures printed and laid out on paper for sure. I am very proud to be among such artists. The story is dear to my heart as well as it is about my friends who welcomed their baby through a surrogate mother here in the US. I had the chance to document their journey from the start. Baby Valentin has nowa visual record showing how much he was wanted and loved from the moment he was born.

I am a documentary family photographer. I love to photograph families at home, the epicenter of family life, where childhood memories are formed. I will capture your story when you are fearlessly you: when you do the things you love to do in the places you love to be. I catch glimpses of your family's personality when you are in the moment enjoying the simple fact of being together.

I love to document the love (and tears) that goes into family life, or during a sweet reunion, or when you are managing your small business. My style is far from standard posing and cheesy smiles. Instead I capture a feeling, an emotion, a connection. My clients demand something different, something honest and true to real life. Let's get in touch.

This little girl was just 2 weeks old at the time of the photoshoot and her parents happily welcomed her into their life after months of trying. She is now their little princess and they are very touching by the way they carefully take care of her. It reminded me of the birth of my daughter: the worries as new parents, the changes in what used to be your normal life, in my body...

One week after the session, the mom had an health emergency and had to stop breastfeeding cold turkey. Everyone is doing fine now but I am so so glad I caught these moments for them. You never know what life will throw at you. Embrace the NOW.

xoxo
